Lately has been: busy. Nothing but Busy. And trust me on this one; I'm not glorifying the b-word. Amidst stacks of math revision worksheets amassing 735.83 g (to 2 decimal places), science papers waiting to be done, hurried meals, my eyes are lethargic, my limbs melting down into gelatinous masses. My brain's filled with more math formulas than recipe lists (for once), and I find myself going for the emergency pancake stash in the freezer in the mornings (this means serious business).
But, as I said in a recently published interview with Yoga Movement (check it out HERE) - I was really really really excited for this to come out - balance. I'm still having that occasional coffee (admittedly its turned into more of a treat), trying to fit that yoga class in, and spending some time to sketch and read. It ain't easy, but I try.
Besides, being complimented for your sketches during that coffee break is the sort of thing that takes your mind off the stress of memorizing various parts of your anatomy that you'll hopefully never have to see.
Right now, Cloves is playing - the mournful ballad sending chills down my back on this late Friday night that's soon turning into Saturday morning. (okay. it just turned into Saturday) Quoting Rudyard Kipling's 'Justice' here is so apt - exams certainly "bid new worlds to birth". I'm sharing these links that I've visited in the not too distant past, though it seems like a lifetime ago. For your reading pleasure.
Happy weekend, guys.
#1 Ordering at Cafe Dizain
If only we had gotten this poem for our test...
#2 Confessions of a Snacker: I Ate Real Meals For a Week and It Was Weird
Girl, I feel ya.
These are too cute to be real - well, after all, they're origami, not real food...
These oh-so-beautiful cakes are the reason why marzipan printers exist.
This place is so surreal it hurts. It might just be the most meaningful 13 minutes of your day.
#6 To Tip or Not to Tip?
Somehow, tipping always makes you feel good, and this article will make you feel good about NOT tipping. Hmmm...
To be continued.
