At this point in time, the champagne has been drunk, the poppers popped, and the last few hungover stragglers sent home. Hello 2016.
(I probably say this every year, but) the last year has been quite the whirlwind ride - I've gotten so many opportunities, made new friends, had all these new experiences - and a large number of them without your support, both via instagram and this blog. The inspiration, kind comments and reaching out to me really has made 2015 a year to remember. I'm not one for hugs and kisses, but I'm giving you all out there a huge (virtual) embrace.
Anyhow, here are ten things I've done in the past year, and especially of late, that I never thought I'd be doing. Ever.
#1 Going to New York.
#2 Doing a photography shoot for a company.
#3 Finding a friend to embark on The Great Hunt For Granola together.
#4 Pennyboarding. (Impressive for someone who can't even ride a bike.)
#5 Be SU-ed (Suggested User-ed, not legally sued) by Instagram.
#6 Watch Star Wars VI. Twice.
#7 Met Nathan Williams from Kinfolk.
#8 Fracture my own finger. In a door.
#9 Catch Cirque du Soleil in Singapore.
#10 Going out with friends so frequently during the holidays - I might just become a socialite.
2015 is over and done with, and I wouldn't have changed it for anything else in the world. It hasn't been the smoothest ride - there's definitely been major bumps, but I've learnt so, so much. I've been quite lost in the past year - uncertain of what lies ahead, and I've spent a good chunk of the year figuring it out (and sloughing for a good portion of it). As such, I'm starting 2016 with these two words: Work Harder. (even gotten it emblazoned on my laptop in permanent marker)
Here's to 2016, and to what lies ahead. Cheers.
To be continued.
